Your first request
Start with Usage Calculator. No credit card is needed.
1. Create a workspace
Register with your email, a password of at least 12 characters, and an organization name. You will be signed in to the cloud console.
2. Activate the free service
Open Services in the console and activate Usage Calculator. The free tier includes 1,000 successful requests per monthly billing period.
3. Create an API key
Open API keys, give your key a recognizable name, and copy it immediately. Only a hash is stored; the secret is shown once.
4. Make an authenticated request
Use the public API endpoint below. Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your own key. Use a new idempotency key for each distinct operation.

The response contains amount_cents: 500 and billable_units: 250. Your console now shows one request. Repeating the same request with the same idempotency key returns the original response without consuming another request.
